How do I book the Ipanema Beach Penthouse? Popular
Fill out the Book Direct form on our website with your dates and group size. Ryan will personally review your request and get back to you within a few hours to confirm availability, discuss your trip, and finalize the booking. Booking direct gives you the best rate and direct communication with your host.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept bank transfer, PayPal, Wise (formerly TransferWise), and major credit cards through a secure payment link. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the remaining 50% due 14 days before check-in. For last-minute bookings (within 14 days), full payment is required to confirm.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 30 days or more before check-in receive a full refund. Cancellations between 14-29 days before check-in receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of check-in are non-refundable. We recommend travel insurance for international trips. Policy details will be included in your booking confirmation.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out can sometimes be arranged depending on the booking calendar — just ask when you submit your reservation request and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How many guests can the penthouse accommodate?
The penthouse accommodates up to 6 guests comfortably. The layout includes 3 bedrooms across 3 floors: two bedrooms on the 15th floor and one on the 16th floor. The 17th floor is the dedicated rooftop lounge and pool area. The space works well for families, groups of friends, or couples traveling together.
Is the pool heated? Popular
Yes, the private rooftop pool is heated up to 40°C (104°F). The heating system is available year-round, making the pool comfortable even during Rio’s cooler winter evenings. The pool is exclusively yours — no shared access with other building residents.
What is included in the stay?
Your stay includes all utilities (electricity, water, high-speed WiFi), bed linens, towels, pool towels, basic kitchen supplies, a welcome gift with local recommendations, and concierge support from Ryan throughout your trip. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. A mid-stay cleaning can be arranged for longer stays.
Is there parking available?
Street parking in Ipanema is limited and metered. The building does not have dedicated guest parking. We recommend using Uber for getting around Rio — it is affordable, safe, and eliminates the parking headache entirely. If you must have a car, there are private parking garages nearby that charge daily rates.

Is the building secure?
Yes. The building has 24/7 doorman service, keycard elevator access, and a staffed lobby. The penthouse occupies the top three floors (15, 16, and 17), accessible only by the private elevator key. The neighborhood of Ipanema is one of the safest in Rio, with consistent foot traffic day and night.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome. Families love the space because kids can play on the rooftop while adults relax by the pool. Note that the pool is on the 17th floor with glass railings, and the internal staircase connects all three floors — so very young children require supervision. We can provide a portable crib upon request.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is permitted only on the rooftop terrace (17th floor), never inside the apartment. Please use the provided ashtrays and dispose of cigarette butts properly. The rooftop is open-air with excellent ventilation, making it the ideal spot.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. This is a building-wide policy, not a house rule. Service animals are permitted in accordance with Brazilian law — please notify us in advance if you are traveling with a service animal.
Can I host a party or event?
Small gatherings (up to 8 people total including guests) are fine — the rooftop is perfect for a sunset dinner with friends. However, loud parties, events with external guests, or DJ setups are not permitted out of respect for the building and neighbors. If you have a special occasion in mind, discuss it with Ryan when booking.
Do I need to bring my own beach towels?
No — we provide pool towels and beach towels. Please do not take the white bath towels to the beach or pool (the sand and sunscreen stains are difficult to remove). The colored pool/beach towels are specifically for outdoor use.
What happens if something breaks or needs maintenance?
Ryan is available by phone or WhatsApp for any issues during your stay. For urgent maintenance needs, we have a local handyman and technician network that can respond same-day. The building also has a maintenance staff for elevator, plumbing, or electrical issues. You are never left without support.
